Patricia Jenkins OBITUARY
Patricia Dawn Jenkins was born on April 21, 1953 to Benjamin and Wauline Williams in Lansing, Michigan. She was educated in St Louis Public Schools attending Cote Brilliante Elementary and Sumner High School, and later graduated from Medical Assistant school to become a caretaker of many. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended New Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She was united in holy matrimony to Darol Jenkins in 1982 in St. Louis, MO and that love produced 5 children. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and they had a bond that was unbreakable. “Pat” as we all knew her worked in the medical assistant and home healthcare field most of her adult life. It was clear that she enjoyed helping the helpless and just taking care of people in general. She had a soft spot for people that needed a little help throughout their daily life and she would literally be by that person’s side until the end. Pat was a very likeable person, she didn’t take crap from anyone but at the same time, to know her, was to love her and respect her “realness”.
Pat was a lover of music, specifically, The Temptations and a lot of other Motown classics. She enjoyed playing music and watching her grandkids sing and dance all throughout the house and sitting around at a family gathering bopping with her siblings. Its safe to say that because of her everyone in the family knew a Motown hit!
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Wauline Williams, her brother Martin Williams.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her precious memories: her husband Darol Jenkins; her children-Jose Williams, Jeffrey (Rasheeda) Williams, Darryl Williams, Michelle (Corey) Jenkins, Joan Jenkins; sisters, Denise Williams, Daphne (Robert) Smith , Cynthia (Carl) Alexander; brother Benjamin (Barbara) Williams; 20 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
